Shield[edit]

This is clearly not a coat of arms. Where is the shield? --Daniel C. Boyer 16:23, 28 May 2006 (UTC) The circle is the shield, it's not a Western shield. --TimBits 01:22, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flame[edit]

The flame looks like the word Allah. Is that just a coincidence?

No, I believe it is not a coincidence and it was intentionally done in that shape by the designer. Unfortunately, I don't have a reference to back this up. Also, most of the people in Azerbaijan don't even know the hidden double meaning behind the shape of the flame, as the Arabic script has not used in Azerbaijan for many decades and people cannot "read" it. 193.164.229.102 11:31, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed that as it sounded excessively like either a coincidence or synthesis. Obviously, if anyone turns up a legitimate source for that, I won't remove it. 68.39.174.238 (talk) 02:43, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I removed this conspiracy theory once again. Azerbaijani official law makes no mention of the word Allah. Boaqua (talk) 17:22, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

small stars[edit]

The text state: "between each point of the star, there is a smaller eight pointed star found." yet in the image it look like dots.--Marc pasquin (talk) 14:59, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Year[edit]

I thought the current emblem was adopted in 1991. I need the source which says the current emblem was adopted in 1993. We moved to 8.12 (talk) 01:25, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
