west end[edit]

The west end of SR 653 is at Virgina St (SR 430), not Kietzke Lane. Even the cited source given on the page confirms this, see this is the cited source on the page: Nevada State Maintained Highways, Descriptions, Index & Maps, January 2008. On that page is the Nevada State Maintained Highways, Descriptions, Index and Maps Entire Book and a map on page 87 shows the west end starting on Virgina St (SR 430). The map was not properly updated between the 2006 and 2008 versions of that document. The entry for SR 653 on page 79 says "Kietzke Ln to Terminal Wy". This is further corroborated by the systems totals table, on page 102. The 2006 version of the document also had a longer length for the highway. Proof in also shown in the field: Begin/end SR 653 shields were removed from the Virginia St intersection in late 2007/early 2008--at the same time, two-way arrows under the SR 653 shields on Kietzke were altered in the field to point only to the east. --LJ (talk) 06:05, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you mean.... The reports from Nevada State Maintained Highways, Descriptions, Index & Maps, January 2008 contradict themselves. As such it will be best to keep the article the way it is until new evidence is presented. Kluft (talk) 23:30, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
