Kisses on the Bottom?

[edit]

since memory almost full? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.202.246.125 (talk) 19:23, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you're talking about New being McCartney's first album since Memory Almost Full to contain entirely new compositions, this is technically correct. Kisses on the Bottom was mostly an album of cover versions, while Electric Arguments was not a solo McCartney album. jhsounds (talk) 03:31, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reception

too reliant on the single rather than the album — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.166.152 (talk) 00:28, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Live performances

[edit]

Should the Live performances section be merged into the Promotion section? They both currently mention the iHeartRadio festival, with different information about which songs were debuted. Performances on talk shows seem life promotions to me. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 00:51, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and merged the info into "Promotion", per this rationale. jhsounds (talk) 03:26, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stylization of New

[edit]

Just to clarify: the album name is just New and not stylized as anything. According to sources included in the wiki article, the cover art image is an abstract symbol suggesting the word new. The symbol itself is not meant to be the title of the album; even if it was, textual equivalents of the symbol e.g. |||☰||| or Ⅲ☰Ⅲ have not been used by anyone to refer to the album. jhsounds (talk) 15:40, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it was a bit silly when I first saw it in the article, but then George Harrison's Thirty Three & 1/3 also mentions the 1/3 being "stylised" as the symbol for "Om".
I have no objection to removing the |||☰||| from the lead. Radiopathy •talk• 01:20, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
