[edit]

2Bangkok posted updates on the collapse case back then. The posts are now archived at https://www.2bangkok.com/archives/2005%20Jul-Aug.pdf. There are headlines and excerpts from the Bangkok Post and The Nation, and links to the latter's articles, some of which are on the Wayback Machine. (No Bangkok Post links as it appears the Post's web structure at the time made linking impossible.) --Paul_012 (talk) 06:02, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that the abandoned New World Department Store in Bangkok became home to thousands of fish (pictured)? Source: "There are about 3,000 fish, most of them mango fish, striped catfish and catfish, he added. The pond attracted public attention in June last year when photos of it were posted online, drawing more people to visit the abandoned centre to feed them." [1]

Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/New World Department Store (Bangkok); consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

  • The nomination seems to have been made a few hours after the seven-day window closed, but we can let that pass in good faith. The article looks otherwise eligible, with the hook fact sourced and the QPQ completed. Could you add sources for the unsourced part at the end of the History section though?--NØ 09:37, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update: I've added an image to the nom above and asked MaranoFan for further review. (This was previously promoted to prep, but I've asked for it to be brought back for further consideration.) --Paul_012 (talk) 10:02, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
