Merge with NewsNation?[edit]

With WGN America's rebrand to NewsNation as the network? Trying to figure out what to do with pages? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mgcolton (talkcontribs) 19:36, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So it looks like yes, WGN America page did change to NewsNation but the NewsNation page is now NewsNation Prime page. 72.209.29.141 (talk) 00:31, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

– The network WGN America is changing names to NewsNation. The current primetime newscast called NewsNation will be changing names to NewsNationPrime.[1] [2]

Is there enough content on NewsNationPrime to make it its own article? Maybe a "news operation" on the NewsNation page to discuss the news operation? As far as I can tell, other than Banfield (which already has its own article), the other four hours will be pretty similar, like different hours of MSNBC Live. (It's also a good reminder to make an article for Joe Donlon, since if Jeff Gianola is notable enough for an article, so is Donlon.) So merge NewsNation with WGN America. Requested move 7 March 2021[edit]

Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: page moved to NewsNation, in the second case from NewsNation to News Nation (disambiguation) instead of to NewsNation (disambiguation). (closed by non-admin page mover)Nnadigoodluck 08:03, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

– Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, this is the only channel blatantly called "NewsNation". The Indian channel is called "News Nation" with a space in the middle, "News Nation Assam" should quite frankly be merged into "News Nation", and "NewsNation with Tamron Hall" has more to its name. There needs to be some organization among the four topics here. JE98 (talk) 16:36, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add slogan since NewsNation has a slogan[edit]

Can someone please add the slogan "Your News. Your Nation.", which is the first slogan when NewsNation was first launched in 2020 and/or "News for all America" as of July 30, 2021. I don't know which slogan they used now but they do have a slogan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.209.29.141 (talk) 16:21, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Slogans are no longer used in Template:Infobox television channel, per Template talk:Infobox television channel/Archive 3#I suggest "slogan" or "motto". BilCat (talk) 19:10, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Does this article need to be cleaned up to remove poor sources[edit]

User:MaterialscientistUser:Vjmlhds I think you are the most recent experienced editors to edit here. What do you think? Doug Weller talk 16:52, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The sources used are OK. They are all by and large legitimate media news sites. Now the News Nation website is used for a lot of things, but considering it is the network itself telling you what is on the network, you can't get any better than straight from the horse's mouth Vjmlhds (talk) 19:00, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. We need secondary independent reliable sources to show the significance of anything for a start. Doug Weller talk 21:39, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

According to Jason Colavito who writes "Meanwhile, the so-called “Schumer amendment” on UFO disclosure seems poised to disappear from the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act because of opposition from key Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Mike Johnson. The sticking point seems to be an overbroad eminent domain provision that would let the government seize any private property they suspect may be from outer space. However, ufologists are flipping their lid over the fizzling UFO disclosure movement, leading British writer Chris Sharp’s pro-UFO Liberation Times to quote one “source” (and since Sharp has only a few, we can guess who it likely is) as threatening that UFO believers will stage an insurrection if lawmakers don’t pass new UFO laws. Australian UFO gadfly Ross Coulthart seconded the motion in a podcast, calling for lawmakers who stand in the way of UFO laws to be dragged through the streets and tarred and feathered. Did I mention he got hired by NewsNation? Yes, NewsNation is where you can threaten violence against government officials and still get hired for new TV projects."
