Vandalism

Somebody correct the title please, I don't know how to do that. Currently it reads Nizamabad, Telangana instead of Nizamabad, Andhra Pradhesh, which si being re-directed the Telangana link. I've reverted rest of the vandalism on the page. Nizamabad will be a part of Telangana state as and when it is created. As of now it is still part of Andhra Pradhesh. So let's keep it that way instead of vandalizing Wikipedia with personal political POV --65.91.151.195 (talk) 12:40, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (your reason here) --Jgaddam (talk) 05:30, 2 June 2014 (UTC) Andhra Pradesh state in India is split into two states. Nizamabad now falls in Telangana state. So please keep this Wikipedia for Nizamabad, Telangana and do not delete. You can delete old link Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh. Thanks.

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (this page was moved from Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh -> Nizamabad, Telangana) --Vin09 (talk) 11:06, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

  • This article actually should be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because it's a duplicate of the article Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh, which should be moved to this title (Nizamabad, Telangana) instead. Severe edit war

Over past one month, there has been serious edit wars about the official language of telugu and urdu in the city of Nizamabad on which is the first and second official language? If anybody can provide a genuine source this can be solved.--Vin09 (talk) 03:36, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Urdu as second official language

Pls see this page languages for urdu as second official.--Vin09 (talk) 11:51, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Regarding city Area

@Vin09: - The pdf file data you provided for the area of Nizamabad which states as 36.86 Sq.Kms is not appropriate. The pdf file was created in 2012, and Nizamabad city limits has been extended to large extent like Warangal's. The pdf file also states the area of Warangal as 70.00 Sq.Kms which is wrong, while the correct area is 406.9 Sq.Kms (you can verify it here). The correct area for Nizamabad is 144 Sq.Kms, I have read it somewhere, and I think you have noticed that the Nizamabad's Municipal Corporation website at http://cdma.telangana.gov.in/MunicipalWebsites.html is currently under suspension. I have noticed that the pdf is extremely outdated and has very old data which is wrong or cannot be used. Do Cooperate. --Rizwanmahai (talk) 11:52, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

@Rizwanmahai:You might have read but wiki requires present verifiability as per WP:References, so if you find it then replace it, till then keep the verifiable content, not anyone's assumption. People doesn't know from where 144 have come. I guess you understand. You have stated example of warangal, the same reference was added by me only, you can check here.--Vin09 (talk) 08:09, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
@Rizwanmahai: A reference in a reliable source, however old, overrides a supposed fact that "you read somewhere". Wikipedia only goes by what is verfiable in such sources and anything else may be legitimately replaced or removed.  Philg88 talk 11:53, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Area

Finally the official website is working. The official area of the city urban is 40 sq km and rural area is 10.34, which makes a total of 50.34 sq km.[1]

Anyone who want the reference about the rural 10.34 sq kms mentioned area can refer here , that existing municipal corporation map does not cover Autonagar, Anand Nagar, NRI Colony, Seetharamnagar Colony and other peripheral areas, which means both the area and households of these colonies are not merged under Municipal Corporation as of now even though they are under corporation limits.--Rizwanmahai (talk) 11:18, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
The reference doesn't mention 50.34 anywhere. It only mentions 40.00.--Vin09 (talk) 11:08, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

@Rizwanmahai:I've seen the reference, but no where it states about the remaining area 10.34. If you get it then add, till then add which the official website shows. The official website clearly states here as 40.00.--Vin09 (talk) 07:06, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

@Rizwanmahai: The reference you provide mentions nothing about area, only "illegal constructions". Until shown otherwise, please stick with the official reference cited by Vin09. Thanks,  Philg88 talk 20:19, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Reg/Railways

@Vin09: : Before deleting the railway section form this article, saying that it is unsourced content, please tell me what was the problem. I didn't find any sort of adv or irrelevant info or any type of guide in this section. The section just tells that it is a major rail station and on this line and distance to capital city. As the station is now a junction, there's some data that shows its newer connectivity. (If you find this newer connectivity like some sort of new type, then I will remove that particular line). You can feel free to talk on this page, rather than erasing someone's hard work. there are already many references in this section,if you want more I can provide more. But deleting the complete section isn't fair. --Rizwanmahai (talk) 15:57, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

I have removed some more data that seemed like news. Thanks--Rizwanmahai (talk) 16:01, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
Editing is a part of wiki. Not opposing your work. As you also found some news and removed it, that means the paras needs some improvement. You need to mention about the railway station and satellite stations with proper references and its division and zone. Not too much info on sections which have separate pages. Yes, you can write which sections converge at the station. The newly laid Nizamabad-Peddapalli via Karimnagar, made the station pave its way into Delhi-Chennai line which is known as Grand Trunk Route. Once the line is operational, Nizamabad may have direct connectivity to National Capital New Delhi and the distance between Secunderabad to New Delhi and Nizamabad to Karimnagar shall be reduced to a large exten this is purely original research with no reference. I know about your work, please don't take my edit in a negative way. Deleted only to improve, searching for more sources and by today will improve transport section of the article in a better way. I've placed an Inuse template and working on it. Hope you understand.--Vin09(talk) 03:50, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
