Adjective and possible scenarios[edit]

I question the use of the adjective "difficult". I wonder if it should be there at all or if it should be complemented by something else.

Also, the definition of no decision for baseball as given in this article is "A starting pitcher who leaves without earning either a win or a loss – that is, before either team gains or surrenders the ultimate lead". The definition fails to include how many innings a starting pitcher needs to be on the mound which is, in my knowledge, at least 5 innings. Also, it would be nice if "gain" and "surrender" could be complemented by some examples like possible scenarios.
