Death?[edit]

There is a huge death date discrepancy here. Anyone know when he died? Captain Phoebus 13:56, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • All the external links give the date of death as January 12, 1956. Whoever made the info box, may have gotten the dates mixed up. I referenced it. ExRat 15:46, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First Name at Birth[edit]

NOTE: The following discussion was based on an earlier version of the article, but is still relevant because there remain internet sites claiming that his first name at birth was "Arnold." Editime (talk) 13:50, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why is it thought that his first name at birth was "Arnold"? There are some other places on the internet where it says his first name was Arnold, but I have not seen any authoritative source for that in any of them. He is called "Norman"--not "Arnold"--in the U.S. Census reports of 1900[1] and 1910,[2] in the 1905 New York State Census,[3] and in his draft registrations for WW1[4] and WW2.[5] The WW2 draft registration lists his full name as Norman Hussey Kaiser, noting the name Norman Kerry as an alias; there is no mention of "Arnold."

Can anyone supply an authoritative source for calling him Arnold? If not, should we remove that claim? Editime (talk) 14:10, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    • I think you would be right to change the information based on your sources and references. Just please include them in the article. Cheesr! ExRat (talk) 20:41, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks, I made the change; if anyone wants to change it back, please provide a primary source (not just another unsupported claim from an internet site) to support the claim.Editime (talk) 13:29, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Due weight[edit]

Just because lots of old newspaper clippings happened to be available, it doesn't mean Kerry's private life and the details of his divorces merit more space than the work of this minor actor. 2A02:AA1:101D:9A0A:60CC:2E7C:B749:1167 (talk) 18:02, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
