External Links - Broken weblink[edit]

In concert with Wikipedias's Desire to have Broken weblinks fixed to suitable locations, I have amended the external links section of 'North_Toronto' to replace the defective link ' http://www.city.toronto.on.ca/toronto_facts/maps.htm ' with the working weblink (and listing of Neighborhoods as well) at ' http://www.toronto.ca/demographics/profiles_map_and_index.htm '. Kay Gardner park - spelling[edit]

To accord with what's most common on Google, I changed the name of the park from Kay Gardner Belt Line Park to Kay Gardner Beltline Park. --Mathew5000 05:03, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

different area[edit]

The city of toronto shows a wider area that the narrow longer strip described. http://www.torontoneighbourhoods.net/neighbourhoods/uptown/north-toronto

This description seems to be talking about uptown. I'm not from toronto and came to this page because I met someone from north toronto and naively I thought it was the north area of toronto rather than a specific neighbourhood. This description appears to go too far south.

I am from Toronto. This article confuses the area now perhaps known as North Toronto and the old Town of North Toronto. See the article on "Eglinton, Ontario" which speaks of the Town of North Toronto being incorporated by amalgamating the villages of Eglinton and Davisville. I also note that I would never consider Lawrence Park, for example, to be part of North Toronto. I lived most of my youth in "my North Toronto" (area that was formerly that old town) and attended North Toronto C. I. but have left. Perhaps times have changed.
