It appears that the image shown is a diagram/map of a portion of Austria. If someone can definitively give a caption for the diagram/map it would add a great deal to the usefulness of this article. Similar diagrams/maps are used in the related articles

Title[edit]

Imho the common english translation of "Nördliche Kalkalpen" is "Northern Calcareous Alps" (NCA) - at least in scientific publications e.g.: Flügel (1981), Wagreich (1994), Gawlick (1999), Mandl (2000), Procter (2011),...

google scholar lists approx. 700 results for "northern limestone alps" and over 3000 for "northern calcareous alps" I suggest to change the Title of this Article

As a student of Geology in Austria, I can pretty much confirm that the translation used in scientific papers is "Northern Calcareous Alps" (NCA), to give even more quotes: Frank (1992), Leitner (2011),...

It has been called NCA in every talk and paper I've seen to this topic so far. So I, too, think the name should be changed accordingly.

Oppose. Both are correct, but Northern Limestone Alps is three times as common as Northern Calcareous Alps according to Googlebooks. Howerver, thank you to Trent Easton for raising this - we need to include the latter as a recognised, alternative name. Alpine Club classification numbering[edit]

In the Alpine Club Classification section, there is a map showing numbered areas. This numbering contrasts with the numbering of the map floated to the right, so I’d suggest that this map be updated to match the overview map on the right.
