Northern Tablelands (New South Wales)Northern Tablelands — Superfluous dab. Miracle Pen (talk) 14:58, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The dab is needed. Across the world are hundreds of tablelands which are to the north of something. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:07, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • But are there any others which are specifically referred to as Northern Tablelands? Mhiji 16:39, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support unless anyone can provide an example of where any other slopes are referred to by this name. If so a dab page or hatnotes might be required. Mhiji 16:39, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment First, are any of these hypothetical other tablelands called "Northern Tablelands" (capital N, capital T?) If not, then they don't qualify. Second, the point of disambiguation is to disambiguate between pages that are actually on Wikipedia, not to disambiguate between pages that are on Wikipedia and pages that might be here one day but aren't yet. If and when these hypothetical other "Northern Tablelands" articles arrive, then this one can be title dabbed, but not before then. Miracle Pen (talk) 17:28, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support pending evidence of the existence of other places called "Northern Tablelands" in reliable sources. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 06:40, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support- are there any other places referred to as "Northern Tablelands"? If not, this disambiguation is pointless. Reyk YO! 23:41, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as I'm unaware of the existence of other places of the same name.Cgoodwin (talk) 05:24, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support As we have no other articles on Northern Tablelands, a disambiguator is unnecessary. The range of hills in South East England we refer to as South Downs, despite the fact that there may conceivably be downs that are south of somewhere. Name, geographic scope[edit]

I wondered about the name, geographic scope on this page. The name Northern Tablelands applies to that part of the New England Tablelands up to the border. The Tablelands then continue into Queensland as the Granite Belt, but its the same geographic formation. The Granite Belt page links to the New England (NSW Page) which is not the same as the New England Tablelands.

The Tablelands extend south of the Moombi Range. Inverell is normally included as part of the Tablelands, Jim Belshaw (talk) 08:32, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Walcha was the first part of the Northern Tablelands to be discovered in 1818"[edit]

That's pretty disgusting. --Banno (talk) 08:59, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
