People's Budget[edit]

this article is confused and mistaken. it states that the lords blocked this bill which was passed only in 1911. what nonsense! if so why is it not called the 1911 pensions act the article is based upon a similarly wrong entry on the spartacusnet which I think makes this claim on sectarian grounds, it also claim sthat the labour party forced the liberal hands in this legislation. I have checked in gdh cole and r postgate the common people r miliband parliamentary socialism and g dangerfield the strange death of liberal england [1] none of which mention the house of lords blocking this law Darren redstar 11:11, 3 January 2007 (UTC) darren redstar

Contrary to my edit summary, it was the People's Budget that was opposed. I have removed this section. MRSCTalk 10:24, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
