Rearranged sequence[edit]

I've rearranged the sequence of this list according to the popularity of the pages. The number is hits per month at today's date:

  • Cervical mucus plug 17491
  • Operculum (brain) 3996
  • Operculum (fish) 2822
  • Operculum (gastropod) 2702
  • Operculum (botany) 2004
  • Operculum (animal) 442
  • Operculum (bird) 192
  • Operculum (bryozoa) 110

Removed dictdef from the accompanying Dab page[edit]

Essentially reformatting & sprucing up my edit summary:

I removed
"An operculum is a small covering or lid, and is widely used in descriptions of animals and plants."
from below the wikt link. Colleagues who find the wikt coverage inadequate have two uncontroversial options:
  1. write a WP article on the word, heavy with enc'ic info on the word
  2. be satisfied with the orthodox (and in this case, existing) lk to the Wikt entry.
For the (current and) more controversial current approach, see the accompanying talk pg.

Now I'll go look at the diffs, before coming back here to see what else I meant to add on this talk pg -- besides the above.

OK, I tersely addressed the summar, thusly,
(with 103 BYTES ADDED, at a time that is now abt 3 HOURS AGO)

→‎See also: Is this peripheral ... blather ... pertinent here? Might whatever youre trying to say be better said at the article you're linking to???

in denigrating some of the material I had killed.
