Need education content[edit]

There's next to nothing in this article about education — not just UNC, but also the local school systems. It's worth noting that Orange is unusual among NC counties for still having separate county and city school systems (Orange County Schools, Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools). I don't think I'm up to it right now, having spent hours on the community-college articles, but I wanted to "put it out there." Lawikitejana 09:52, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orange County move request[edit]

You all might be interested to know that there has been a move request to make the link Orange County become a redirect to Orange County, California. The article Orange County is currently a disambiguation page for the seven United States counties and other things named "Orange County". It would be replaced by a page called "Orange County (disambiguation)" which would show links to all the other Orange Counties. If you want to join the discussion, you can find it here: Talk:Orange County#Orange County redirect. --MelanieN (talk) 03:21, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notable People[edit]

Do people whose only connection to Orange County is having attended UNC-CH belong in the County's "Notable People" section? It seems more appropriate for people who lived here outside that context; the link seems tenuous at best given the purpose of the article. A link to the list of UNC alumni page should be sufficient IMO. The Onondaga County, New York page, for example, doesn't list a bunch of famous people who attended Syracuse. Brad E.
