Merge Proposal[edit]

I propose that we merge this into Phase Noise then redirect this page. There may come a time later when phase noise grows so much as to need to split out this page. There is no need to do that now, though. TStein (talk) 04:38, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oscillators inherently produce high levels of phase noise.[edit]

The lead paragraph starts "Oscillators inherently produce high levels of phase noise." I don't believe this is correct -- rather physically realizable oscillators as real world physical systems inherently have some level of phase noise. There are very carefully designed oscillators or oscillator systems that produce very low levels of phase noise by standards of phase noise measurement, in fact those are one means by which more noisy signals can be analyzed (see phase noise article). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:2C15:C510:6D91:9EFF:8350:D46C (talk) 15:16, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
