Weird[edit]

Wait what? Study, of the old old? This definitely doesn't need to be a whole article. PatHadley (talk) 00:05, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

merge with paleoanthropology?[edit]

I would suggest either deleting this article or merging it with paleoanthropology - the more commonly-used term for the discipline that studies human origins from paleontological and archaeological perspectives. Any objections? Ninafundisha (talk) 13:52, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

After thinking about this a bit more, I think what I'll do is merge the paragraph about the history of prehistoric archaeology with the prehistoric archaeology page, and then put a mention on the paleoanthropology page that alternative terms might include paleoarchaeology. Sound okay to everyone? Ninafundisha (talk) 13:06, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
