The correct spelling of this species Papilio multicaudatus. I am aware that the gender of Papilio is controversial, but there is ICZN Opinion 278 which decided that the gender of Papilio is masculine. Moreover the majority of the scientific papers and books (see Google Scholar and Google Books) use multicaudatus. In this case we cannot argue, that multicaudata is more often used (Google general) but which spelling is correct. According to the Code and Opinion 278 the correct spelling is Papilio multicaudatus. -- Engeser (talk) 12:50, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
