As far as I know the term "parametric model" is only used in statistics and has a very precise meaning (see the definition I just added). Flavio Guitian (talk) 20:27, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Clarity[edit]

I would very much like to see less jargon. All of the symbols are indecipherable to me. Is it feasible that we could include a plain-English, linked explanation? That way, it may be possible for myself, and others who wish to understand the topic better, to eventually understand the content of this article through articles in Wikipedia.
