Poorly written

This article is poorly written, without the relevant sources. Serbian books and encyclopedias articles know nothing about so called "Patriarchate of Karlovci". Instead, every relevant book refers to Karlovci as Metropolitanate, rather than as Patriarchate. For example, the first chapter of The History of the Serbian Orthodox Church (vol. II) by Đoko Slijepčević is titled as "The Serbian Orthodox Church in the form of the Metropolitanate of Karlovci" (Srpska pravoslavna crkva u Karlovačkoj mitropoliji). The Lexicon of Serbian Orthodox Church by Radoslav Grujić also contains an article which is titled as Metropolitanate of Karlovci. So I think this should be merged with Metropolitanate of Karlovci.--Владимир Нимчевић (talk) 14:19, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WP:OR

Recent edits by user Axxxion are not according to sources, according to Britannica that they self posted it is written that : In the Balkans changes were even more significant. The five groups of Serbian dioceses (Montenegro, the patriarchate of Karlovci, Dalmatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia) were united (1920–22) under one Serbian patriarch, residing in Belgrade, the capital of the new Yugoslavia. [[1]] The same editing was presented by them with ignoring what other books are saying i.e Paul Robert Magocsi: Historical Atlas of Central Europe, University of Toronto Press, 2002 "Then, in 1766, when the Ottomans abolished Pec, the Karlovci province became an independent body, eventually with six suffragan bishops (Novi Sad, Timișoara, Vrsac, Buda, Pakrac, and Karlovac), known as the Serbian Orthodox Slav Oriental Church, which after 1848 was raised to the status of a patriarchate." Use of "Serbian" in the first sentence

The Patriarchate of Karlovci was not Serbian in the official name, it was neither called Serbian by it's hierarchical superior. I believe giving it a national accent is a misconstruction very much a posteriori and therefore anachronistic (not in spirit with how the structures of the Patriarchate nor it's believers in general thought during the time of its existence). This seems to be a product of the controversial policies in the region during the 1920s, aka post-factum after the patriarchate was more or less forced to unite in the newly formed Serbian Orthodox church (which acquired officially this nationaly coloured name only in 1920). However it is, the Patriarchate discussed here responded directly to Constantinople, not to Belgrade or Peč, albeit often the priests did their studies in the monasteries of the Belgrade patriarchate, due to the common language. Also, the Patriarchate of Karlovci was covering many non-Serb believers outside Vojvodina, among them a very large number of Orthodox Vlachs, Albanians, Aromenians, Cincari.
