Fair use rationale for Image:Paulxxx123.jpg[edit]

Image:Paulxxx123.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Interesting career, on fine sources, no copyvio obvious, cute hook. In the article, I wonder why we mention the announcement of the wedding, instead of just the fact. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:29, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the review, Gerda Arendt (talk · contribs)! That's a great point. I've simplified the wedding sentences to remove the announcement as you've suggested. Cunard (talk) 23:39, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Boland's birth year[edit]

This edit changed Paul Boland's birth year from "1960 or 1961" to "1970". This changed is unsourced and is not supported by the sources.

This article from the Associated Press said Paul Boland was 27 on 17 August 1988. The article verifies that Paul Boland turned 27 in either 1987 or 1988, which means he was born in 1960 or 1961.

  2. "Ricardos-Boland". News-Pilot. June 17, 1992. Archived from the original on November 29, 2021. Retrieved November 29, 2021 – via Newspapers.com.

This engagement announcement published in the News-Pilot said Paul Boland graduated from high school in 1978. The 1978 graduation year supports the assertion that he was born in 1960 or 1961 as it means he would have been 17 or 18 when he graduated. Most American high school students are around that age when they graduate. If he was born in 1970 as asserted in this edit, he would have been around eight years old when he graduated high school.
