Coaches[edit]

I'm going to add a list of coaches from 1967 underneath the players section. Hopefully I can get this done for all current NRL teams. --Cyclone James 07:06, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea! Steven Fitter 03:35, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Leagues Club[edit]

I noticed that the reference to the Panthers Leagues Club being the largest in the southern hemisphere has been there for a while. What is that in terms of? Area? Membership? Turnover? Either way, it's a moot point: if info on the club is sufficiently important, there should be a separate page for it, and the Penrith RLFC page can link to it. I don't know how important it is to go into any further details about the Leagues Club in the RLFC page.--Alexio 05:23, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

I'm disputing the neutrality of this article and tagging it as such. I also wish to point out that most clubs that win the minor premiership go on to win the Grand Final... there is no statistical anomaly to the Panthers doing this twice. Naysie 13:30, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

True, however clubs with finals experience generally do better in the end-of year matches and the Roosters had won the premiership the year before whereas Penrith had not contested a grand final for 12 years. cheers, Casliber | talk | contribs 03:48, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the reference to the 2003 grand final as "the best ever" just because it's been "hailed as" such.--Alexio 09:56, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Super League[edit]

It's not mentioned in this artile that Penrith were one of the clubs to sign with Super League and play in their competition in 1997. Surely deserves at least a sentence in the history section.--Jeff79 05:45, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Pentrithpanthers.jpg[edit]

Image:Pentrithpanthers.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:38, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jersey Flegg, Premier league?[edit]

Should we add a section about jersey flegg or prem league? Weirdy 07:18, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notes?[edit]

Rather than wading through diffs, does anyone to know to what this 'note' refers?

# This game was played using an obsolete scoring system. Under current scoring guidelines, the score in this game would have been 8 - 84.

I've removed it from the article for now but will restore it if it relates to any of the text. ~ Florrie talk 15:04, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname(s)[edit]

I've heard them called the 'mountain men' before, but is it just me or does anyone else need some convincing about 'chocolate soldiers'? Is it vandalism?--Jeff79 (talk) 10:04, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not vandalism. They've been the choccy soldiers since the old brown and white jersey and a Frank Hyde reference in the late 60s. [1] ~ Florrie talk 11:58, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

this is a good article[edit]

This is a good article but the jersey's gallery looks odd. Maybe it's me but it could be the ugly jerseys. Is there another way to put the jerseys on the page but kind of not so close together.

Mgt98 22:12, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

I've noticed this. The Jersey's are wrong. The '91 on has the wrong colours on the hoops. From 91 until 96 (inclusive) the hoops were just red, yellow, and green. Not bright red, green and aqua as this picture shows. I've edited it, but can't upload. Don't ghave wiki upload rights. Also the super league jersey should be red where the brown is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abbaskip (talkcontribs) 05:29, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Penrith Panthers Team of Legends Template[edit]

Who moved the template. Now it's all stuffed up and when ever you click view or edit it says create article because the name, on Royce Simmons' page has the wrong name. Who ever did move it back
