This article ignores the consequences of the growing list of places where people have to pay for shopping bags. The loss of freedoms and liberties because of this regime are being ignored. This article seems to only talk about the alleged environmental implications of banning "free" plastic shopping bans, while no bans are imposed on "reusable" (paid) shopping bags which are still made of plastic.Canberra User (talk)

A section on "Impact" coulud be useful - one that considered both economic impacts and envrinomental in a neutral way. I have seen news articles describing people who were unhappy with the new regime and how it led Coles to extend its free period for offering the "paid" bags. That said, this article is not a soapbox for criticising plastic bag bans, only for neutrally presenting reliable sources about the issue. Goldcactus (talk) 11:02, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Going by the angle and the way the article is laid out and worded, it seems more like a soapbox for environmentalists who kept lobbying and lobbying for the ban until they got their satisfaction, and are now gloating about it.
