POV-check[edit]

This article does not appear to be written from a neutral POV. It is written and structured like an advert for the organisation's services. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Courgette (talkcontribs) 13:36, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some improvements made: avoidance of second person and replacement with third person or passive voice. Further changes required to put the emphasis more on PP+ and what it does rather than on the advice which PP+ issues (though it is appropriate to keep this in some form. Also, the article paints a rather too benign picture of PRS and PP+'s efforts to regulate this industry. There is, in reality, a great deal of controversy about this industry and the quality of its regulation.

Some more improvements are still necessary. I've been trying to find out the composition of the PhonepayPlus board and it's source of funding, and none of them are clear from the PpP website. I suspect that it is a public limited company industry-funded and operated under the eye of OFCOM.
Some mention of the controversies Dormu mentioned above is suitable, it seems there are issues of self-regulation, soft options, repeat offenders etc. I don't have the background to edit. Centrepull (talk) 14:12, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article doesn't provide information that would substantiate its notability to be included in WP. Surely a 'regulatory' body would be able to produce some independent 3rd party analysis or write up of itself. The article doesn't even mention specifically by which statutes or laws it has authority to do anything. What does it mean when the article says: making companies come to the regulator for prior approval. How do they do that? This article has many problems. The link to 'code of practice' is dead. Removed "Notability" tag: This is the official regulator, as approved by the UK Government! Added "References" tag instead. thisisace (talk) 17:38, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Icstis logo.gif[edit]

Image:Icstis logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
