Acchi Kocchi → Atchi Kotchi – Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Japan-related_articles#General guidelines specifically says that "The sokuon っ is written as t before ch (i.e., こっち kotchi, not kocchi). The spelling cch is considered nonstandard and is deprecated." Allowing cch would break the already-established MoS.

For romanization, we usually stick on one romanization system and don't always follow the common usage. We have Ōkami-san instead of Ookami-san and Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai instead of Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, and used to have Baka to Test to Shōkanjū (before its official English version had been published) instead of Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu. People barely use spellings like Ōkami, Imōto and Shōkanjū but commonly use their wāpuro forms Ookami, Imouto and Shoukanjuu; but we are retaining/had retained those so-called uncommon spellings (Ōkami, Imōto and Shōkanjū) because they are the correct spellings according to the romanization system, specifically Hepburn. Also, we have jujutsu instead of more common j(i)u-jitsu.

Yes, I do know that a number of people use cch, but this is not the case. In this case, "not called that by anyone" is not a valid reason to revert my move, which actually gives the correct romanization. If we start to allow cch, we also need to move matcha to maccha and Kutchan, Hokkaidō to Kucchan, Hokkaidō, which would break the already-established MoS, as I stated above.

• Comment don't always follow the actual usage violates WP:COMMONNAME. WP:Policy, policies override guidelines. In order to override a policy, you need an WP:IAR determination. 70.24.251.208 (talk) 04:09, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

• Support. While WP:COMMONNAME does actually take priority, unless there is any evidence that "Acchi Kocchi" is how the title is officially written (the official website does not appear to use any romanized form and Anime News Network is not at all authoritative), we should use "Atchi Kotchi" in accordance with the standard romanization rules as dictated by the MOS. --DAJF (talk) 08:28, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
