Queen's Picture[edit]

Does anyone else think it might be a good idea to shrink the size of Liz' mugshot on this page? I don't know how to do that, yet. aliceinlampyland 14:31, 29 November 2005 (UTC).[reply]

RAMSI[edit]

I found this article very interesting and wonder if there is some evidence to support the claim that RAMSI is falsely credited with bringing peace to the area. If it was in fact women's groups who brought peace this needs to be more widely reported. --Anon

What you see on television doesn't often reflect the reality of what many people do behind the scenes. See [1] and [2] --entheos 00:00, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of claims[edit]

I just went through the article and removed a heap of POV pushing. If anyone actually has credible sources backing up any of it, post them. --RaiderAspect 08:08, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Improvements to the article[edit]

Anon user, thank you for your interest in this article. Some comments

-The bribery claim seems well verified -Corruption allegation about Kemakeza has been moved to his article. I think it deserves fuller treatment, and I cant really see a way to work it into the article at the moment. -Everything I've read has said the rioting was largely spontaneous. Most of the criticism of RAMSI was that it reacted to slowly, not too brutally. I'll take another look at the media reports of the time though.

Cheers,

Important notice[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of the Solomon Islands" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact The Transhumanist .

Thank you.

2010 election[edit]

Adam Carr has the results from the 2010 election. I am no good with boxes, but someone should replace the 2006 results — Preceding unsigned comment added by Orakologen (talkcontribs) 22:56, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Appeals[edit]

Appeals do not lie to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. See Bade v The Queen (Solomon Islands) [2016] UKPC 14 (8 June 2016) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.160.126.35 (talk) 09:55, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
