Species[edit]

Polycotylus ischiadicus was made the type species of the new genus Thalassiosaurus by Welles (1943), while the name Plesiosauus ichthyospondylus is a nomen nudum because Seeley (1869) provided a type specimen but did not accompany it with a description and indicated that his taxa were never intended to take taxonomic precedence.

True or false[edit]

Is it true that it is also found in Russia and Australia or is this a mistake?

Did you bother to read the paper in the source?--Mr Fink (talk) 20:48, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
