I apologize, I did not realize that there was a move page feature that I could use to rename this page. I cannot delete pages myself, so I cannot rectify this. Is it possible that the "Positive Adult Devlopment" page be deleted in favor of the "Positive Adult Development" page, which has a properly spelled title? Four Categories[edit]

I put the contradict tag to this section, because it is unclear which four categories are meant. I see only three: stages, maturation , roles. Or is something else meant by categories? Lova Falk talk 18:08, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This reads as a bibliography[edit]

Very little of this article deals with Positive Adult Development, and seems like it was written by a psych undergrad trying to show off their referencing skills. It needs major overhaul in terms of clarification, and placing references in the end, not in the text, as per Wikipedia standards. 58.174.169.54 (talk) 05:04, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Overview of the Positive Adult Development Page[edit]

The introduction of this page is rather well done, as is the content itself, and the overall neutral biased tone. What would help improve the quality of this page would be if the topics had tied better within the introduction and if there was more of an explanation based upon what positive adult development was (and the six areas of study that you mention) rather than solely in the origin. The origin portion needs some cleaning up and some more updated references as well. I saw there was also a need for properly formatted inline citations, but with those fixed and these additions, the page would flow really well and give a good quick synopsis of the content. You gathered a good deal of information already, it just needs to be expanded upon a bit.XeniumFoxx (talk) 04:42, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this evaluation and with the other comments listed here. This page has a lot of potential but could use some polishing. I think the most important changes that need to be made are the Lead (especially the first sentence: it uses its own name [positive adult development] in its definition) and having the rest of the article talk more in-depth about the topics that were mentioned in the lead. --Turtlemartian13 (talk) 21:17, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the edits that are recommended. In addition, in the lead, I do see a clear introduction evolving around the article's topic; however, if it's going to be mentioned in the introduction make sure to include it later on in the article. I also have observed what could be assumptions in the actual content of the article itself. So make sure to leave it neutral so that's not up in the air.Jordyn.jones0902 (talk) 21:38, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I agree in the things mentioned above that needs changed and improved, but also, I do see a bias within the lead that could be worded differently to make it neutral. This page also needs newer material about the topic as the latest thing added was an article from 2012. If we can find one from 2015 or more recent than that, it would be ideal. Also, for the inline citations that need fixed, what is the proper format for those? Pou16003 (talk) 05:52, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article does well staying within the topic of psychology. The sources needs to be improved or at least added to with more recent studies and work. There is information missing within the article that needs to be added for a clearer understanding and explanation on the subject.BYUIPie (talk) 22:30, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am somewhat new to wikipedia but I think that this article could benefit from having some pictures, any thoughts? I also thing the article would benefit from diving deeper into the topic of positive adult psychology and really outlining what it is and all the things regarding it. Wiki Education assignment: Adult Development Fall 2022[edit]

This page has some great strengths with assessing and informing the readers about what positive adult development is. It needs improvement on the lead. The lead should be more concise and match the rest of the article. It would be helpful to include the main points in the lead and then put those throughout the article. The articles sources should be up to-date and used throughout the article to provide more current information. It would be helpful to add pictures. LanaEden (talk) 01:51, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Positive Adult Development and found it to be well researched and well written. It provides a comprehensive overview of the different aspects of the field, such as its history, theories, and current research. It also makes use of helpful visuals and external links to provide readers with further information. The article could be improved by adding more external links to reliable sources and by creating more visuals to illustrate the different concepts. The article could include images for further understanding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiuser322 (talkcontribs) 18:43, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Overlaps significantly with another entry: Adult Development[edit]

I'm surprised that this entry and the entry for Adult development apparently make no mention of each other, yet cover some of the same material. It feels like they should be consolidated to some degree. Note also that the entry for Developmental psychology apparently only links to the entry for Adult Development, not here. In the meantime I will try to interlink the two entries.
