Much of the information on prevalence is out of date as rabies has re-emerged in a number of places. Government health websites such as (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rabies-risks-by-country/rabies-risks-in-terrestrial-animals-by-country) could be useful in updating the information. Tables could be useful. Much of the country/region sections could also be streamlined. Bobpenguin (talk) 23:29, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Portugal and Spain are also countries with a rabies-free status, and so the references in this article shows, however, the colored map shows that both countries have rabies, what is clearly a mistake.

Following the link to this reference (http://www.lumrix.net/health/Rabies.html) reveals a webpage that says it is based on the Wikipedia article. Can Wikipedia use this link as a valid reference, as it sounds a little circular to me? Bonza9683 20:15, 21 September 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bonza9683 (talkcontribs)

Added section on mainland China[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I realized that there wasn't any information on rabies transmission and prevalence in China, so I did a bit of research on my own and added a section about that. It's surprising that nobody mentioned it, especially since China has one of the highest (total) rabies cases per year. The sources I cited contain additional information, if anyone wishes to expand upon it. Please let me know if this is adequate.

Oh, by the way - this is my school's institutional IP address. If you see vandalism coming from this IP, it's probably not me, but some of those knuckleheads. Please don't mind them.
