wrong link[edit]

from the article: "The storyline features elements associated with Kneale (the ancient evil aspect of both Quatermass and the Pit and The Quatermass Conclusion, the idea of messages from the future from The Road" -- "The Road" links to a book published in 2006. I somehow doubt that the idea in the movie was taken from there. According to Kneale's own wikipedia page, a version of The Road was broadcast on the BBC in 1963 so it must be considerable older than two years. Davidor7 (talk) 09:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The link is pointing to the Wikipedia entry for Cormac McCarthy's novel The Road, which was published in 2006. Nigel Kneale's play The Road was indeed broadcast in 1963, but it does not currently have a Wikipedia entry. I am removing the link. hwj (talk) 16:31, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The film's ties and influences are far greater with the Cthulhu Mythos. For example, pretty early on in the film the changes in the green liquid are referred to by the saying that "the sleeper awakens". definitive ending?[edit]

In the dream sequences the full year is not revealed until the final dream before the ending. The dream sequence audio and video is also not identical between people. It is constantly changing and neither repeating the first dream word for word, shot for shot nor beginning from where the last dream left off

Plot needs a couple changes[edit]

-The academics use a computer to analyze the data, and find that it includes differential equations.

The equations come from the text, not the data

-Members of the group exposed to the liquid become possessed by the entity and attack the others.

Vague description, possessed also shoot liquid and expose & turn certain others

-Walter, trapped in a closet, witnesses the possessed bring the cylinder to a sleeping Kelly.
