There are a lot of terms here I don't understand. What is a "business unit", what are "the targets", what is "delisted", "already unlisted", "IPO" and "held private"?

Is the fund (singular) restructuring the companies (plural) or itself? "to restructure its (singular) capital .." implies the fund is restructuring itself.

I was searching Wikipedia for a definition of "unlisted companies" and this was one of the articles that came up - but it didn't help.

I know from my own field (computer support) how easy it is to fall into using jargon and technical terms. That's what this writer seems to have done. Thanks for your contribution - I realise this article is a stub but I hope my questions help you see how to make the article clearer to unfinancial laymen like myself. I reckon that is the strength of Wikies.

Separate and Distinct Topic[edit]

A private equity fund is a specific type of investment vehicle with a number of topics on structure, economic, etc. that are specific and unrelated to an article on Private Equity which is an asset class and an investment strategy. Also, a private equity fund as intended in this article is separate and distinct from a private equity firm or a financial sponsor. This page should remain distinct and independent of the others. Spelling[edit]

Shouldn't this be spelled private-equity fund (with a hyphen)? It's a fund that invests in private equity, not (necessarily) an equity fund that's private. ehn (talk) 21:48, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
