As I understand it, Frederick I was not Henry II's paternal uncle by blood. Frederick was, rather, the first husband of Henry's mother Agnes (daughter of Henry VIII of Bavaria). Frederick was not Agnes' brother so he is not, strictly speaking Henry's paternal uncle. Does anyone know differently?188.8.131.52 15:29, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
