Doubt about this statement
[edit]The article states:
Typing ".pif" in a Windows Live Messenger conversation will disconnect you from your peer. This message will not be sent. Also, in group conversations, it causes problems that force you to create another group conversation. This is due to the increasing issue with viruses being spread with the .PIF extension., but I doubt that it is correct. I tried it in Windows Live Messenger and it didn't work, it had no problems sending a message including the word .pif or an internet link. Does anyone know whether it is correct or not? - Yes, it's true, or at least was for several years -- I've tested it myself. Many other phrases, including "gallery.php", would also cause the message to be silently dropped by the server. Just google it, you'll see tons of pages talking about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.157.63.49 (talk) 15:35, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
|__ - Regardless, this statement, like many more - do require a reference. :( [edit from my account, not IP] Tabdiukov (talk) 03:24, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
