The previous page was deleted in error and oversight. The Proportional Representation Society of Australia is a significant and highly regarded association. It is regularly quoted in the Australian Parliament and media on matters to do with electoral reform in Australia. It is equivalent to the [[Electoral Reform Ssociety] of the UK. Its early forerunner, Catherine Helen Spence, is pictured on an Australian $5 note. It played a major role in the advocacy for the adoption of Australian Senate, state and local government electoral systems. It is without any doubt notable and if often quoted on the subject within Wikipedia. It is also quoted extensively in Hansard Australia Parliamentary reporting service.
