I disagree with the merge, while linked, the two are separate concepts. The public speaking article can cover good public speaking tips, while this article can cover the "business" of public speaking, where many former politicians (it is a political stub afterall) or businessmen or whomever go on paid speaking tours. Agreement with merge

[edit]

Both pages are small and although there are differences the basic concept is simular if not exactly the same; surely the point of an artical is to expand on the basics. People are intelligent enough to distinguish between the two.

After dinner speaker is very vague, other than the basic definition. gidonb 05:59, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remove merge template

[edit]

I have removed both the merge templates. There is no consensus and no real interest. Lets move on.Frelke 12:48, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Sportsman Dinner

[edit]

Moved from article to talk, unreferenced, etc. RJFJR (talk) 15:43, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The UK after dinner speaking circuit is the 'grandfather' of the genre. Although after dinner utterances have been made for 300+ years in UK the 'circuit' was a phenomenon born in the 1960's.

Merge proposed again

[edit]

I added a tag suggesting mergeto Public speaking because: a public speaker is someone who does public speaking... RJFJR (talk) 15:49, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
