Editing[edit]

Moonwalkerwiz 06:07, 22 July 2006 (UTC) This article doesn't have a single photo of the band. Come on Wiki guys! Put some photos here, and make the article longer. I'm busy so I can't write the article myself. You guys should work on it. I'll just provide you with the websites where you can get some substantial info on the band.[reply]

hello. did a lot of needed editing. Though I think half of the information here aren't important and don't have to be here, I didn't erase. I actually added a few more unimportant trivia. Can still be improved and shortened.

Trivia[edit]

This article has more info written in the trivia section than in the main article itself. Can somebody do some sort of an overhaul of this thing? And where is the picture of the band? The only photo here is of the album cover. This article needs a photo of the band with all its members and their names.

We're on the right track[edit]

almost all sorts of info about the band can now be read on the band's article page. although i admit it still needs more content. such as 30-second music / track samplers, perhaps. though we still need permissions from the band and record label first - ala the beatles' wikipedia. also how the band evolved into their current style and mindset. history regarding how they got to know each other wayback the mongols is also needed too. thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Magasin (talkcontribs) 01:57, 21 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes. And I think we should also mention the band's plans after Ely's heart attack. Will the second album push through and their other projects? We need that kind of information. Moonwalkerwiz 02:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well according to their Manager, Day Cabuhat, they have a "comeback" gig this Feb 10 at the Mall Of Asia... she also said that their going to have an upcoming music video of gamu-gamo and also to release their new album by summer as Ely is currently busy writing songs and creating new materials while he's resting at home. I just hope Ely would soon change his mind about his retirement. He said that he's going to retire before he reaches the age of 40 and would concentrate on film making. (according to an interview, as published by Pinoy Song Mag and Burn Magazine - or was it Pulp?) (Magasin 02:37, 23 January 2007 (UTC))[reply]

That's real good news. Yeah, I've also read that interview, it was in Pinoy Song Mag. (: ) Moonwalkerwiz 23:47, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Domino[edit]

do we need to put in info about the band Domino? it's a band that focuses on electronica / alternative / jazz (?) /synth rock / lounge... with lyrics by Ely Buendia, mixed by Ely Buendia, produced by Ely Buendia, and some instrumental parts done by Yan Yuzon and Diane Ventura... fronted by Ely's sister, Lally. Sounds are similar with Drip / UpDharma / Daydream Cycle / Garbage, etc. It's been only by now that i got to know the band, but their album was out since 2003. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Magasin (talkcontribs) 14:48, 1 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

We can mention it in the Ely Buendia article, not here in Pupil's, under a new section that we could call "Other projects." I don't think Lally's band is popular enough to have its own article. And then we could also include in that section mention of other songs Ely composed for other bands and artists. It's best if you could provide references and cite some sources. Moonwalkerwiz 23:21, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

my reference is just their album though. Magasin 05:23, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's okay. Just mention in the article where you got the info. (: Moonwalkerwiz 06:06, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Penshoppe[edit]

yes, the local fashion / clothing company.

i dunno if we still need to include this bit as the band's wiki article might sound too commercialized. but the band was featured in Penshoppe's Denimlab Rockfest DVD release sometime in Q3 of 2006. the disc contain lots of video of the band's live performances. Magasin 09:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

band photo[edit]

maybe we can update the band's photo? its quite dated, i believe.

the one currently posted is still from the now-defunct MTV Sessions. one of the latest pics is the one with pupil and barbie performing live, it was taken just this 2007, about a couple of days after Ely's recovery and comeback.

but then if we use that photo, some people might think that barbie is a permanent member of the band... Magasin 21:45, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:E895.jpg[edit]

Image:E895.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:DSCF1436.jpg[edit]

The image Image:DSCF1436.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
