William Sturka[edit]

Who is William Sturka and what reference that he used these commands in '76? — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 20:11, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

He was an actor in the twilight zone. There are no references to him that I can find using pushd. I have deleted that line. Zeimusu | Talk page 18:38, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

Lead section[edit]

The lede strongly suggests that these commands are only available in windows by using Powershell, when they are actually supported in all Windows command lines (since win2000). How about "In computing, pushd and popd are commands in various Unix shell programs such as Bash, and Windows command-line interfaces such as PowerShell."? Treer (talk) 01:57, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

This article says pushd/popd commands are supported by DOS but I think it's not true. Also pushd command without arguments in Windows works like dirs command in Linux. I think this article should be corrected (but I'm too scared to do it myself ^^') Линда Кайе (talk) 09:34, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

The misleading suggestion about Windows and Powershell was inserted by an editor in mid-2014, and has now been removed. I have also restored the reference to 4DOS, which is a command-line interpreter for DOS that supported PUSHD and POPD commands. COMMAND.COM did not support them. --Joshua Issac (talk) 11:57, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
