In the 2nd paragraph, it is written that "RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) is an essential protein encoded in the genomes of all RNA-containing viruses with no DNA stage that have sense negative RNA", however, I can't understand what "that have sense negative RNA" means. Does it mean that RdRp is essential for all negative-stranded RNA virus? If so, I think we should remove this sentence because RdRp is essential for not only (-) RNA virus but also (+) and dsRNA virus, according to references. Thank you. I am interesting in the polymerase, i want to collect more details about the polymerase , such as : what is the best template for RdRp synthesize RNA in vitro? if i use Poly(rc) as template , how long of the poly(rc)?
