Please wait before hastily deleting. I accidentally saved the page prematurely while I was working on it, but I should have it in a more polished state shortly. Colton Cosmic (talk) 16:16, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, with nine references and three paragraphs this is in an early but informative state. I have to go do other things right now but I'll be improving the article later. I ask that it not be hastily blanked because it's not complete enough at the moment or whatever. The group and its members have been the subject of a lot of press coverage, mainly Washington state, but also Canadian, and no doubt nationally, and I think this testifies to the notability of the subject. I'll be expanding on the notability of the subject too, and I ask that the article not be hastily blanked on that basis either.

Lastly I think the group and its members call attention to the important matters of community service, prevention of domestic violence, and so on, and that the real-life portrayal of "superheroes" is an important and evidently growing cultural phenomenon that Wikipedia readers may find interesting. Oh and very lastly, because I'm seen instances of skepticism and suspicion among my fellow editors in the past, I do state that I have no relationship to Rain City Superhero Movement or any of its members. Phoenix is known only for his actions as part of the Rain City Superheroes, hence per WP:BLP1E merge. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 03:30, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merging the other way - adding the Rain City Superhero Movement as a section of the Phoenix Jones article - seems more appropriate, given the apparent depth of sources. This article is only 250 words, while Jones's is 1500. --McGeddon (talk) 11:25, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with McGeddon. Phoenix Jones is, by far, the "primary" article between the two. Jones created and leads the group and it is Jones who gets all the press with the rest of the group being also-rans. 76.121.244.252 (talk) 07:05, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Against merge. They both get coverage in reliable sources on their own. Dream Focus 01:50, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think it would be more appropriate to add a short summary of Phoenix Jones' page to the Rain City Superhero Movement page, perhaps copy-pasted from the summary at the top of his article. That way, if another member of the group get more press coverage, and they get their own Wikipedia page, then a short summary of their page can be added, so that anybody viewing the article can get an overview of all of the notable members of the group. Then, if they want more information, they can navigate over to that person's page. Jarod645 (talk) 00:47, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You have zero edits ever besides here. [1] Dream Focus 01:04, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge, absolutely. TheRedPenOfDoom is right, all Jones is known for is this group, and frankly, as a resident of Seattle, may I add in all sincerity, this group is far more noteworthy outside this area, where they are widely regarded as a bit of a joke. As for the length of Jones' article, it is my opinion that most of it is rather unnecessary and bias, the criticism section is one sentence and I promise there is much more. My opinions aside, I reiterate, Jones is the leader of this group and warrants recognition in this article for that, but not his own page. OneHappyHusky (talk) 18:38, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • There isn't a link to this discussion on the Phoenix Jones page, it removed by someone in March 2013. If this discussion is going to be started again, it needs to be re-added. I doubt anyone who worked on or read that long page would want it eliminated and reduced to just a brief mention on another page. Plenty of coverage for the guy on his own.
