GA Reassessment

[edit]

As a part of GA sweeps, I will be reviewing this article. Here are some suggestions for improvement:

  • Stand alone dates should not be linked, and full dates should be either completely linked or not at all (September 12, 2007 = wrong) It should be consistent throughout the article.
  • WP:DASH, endashes should go between dates and ranges of numbers.
  • References should go behind punctuation. "She has been called one of the best live mascots in sports[1][2][3][4] and is often erroneously labeled male.[5][6][7]." Should be changed to "She has been called one of the best live mascots in sports,[1][2][3][4] and she is often erroneously labeled male.[5][6][7]"
    • The first 4 references support the first claim in the statement and the second 3 support the second statement. Having it as such clarifies this is makes it more valuable to the reader or researcher what references supports what. I think Wikipedia and its users are better off violating the rules for this instance. If it's that big a deal to you, please move the 4 references to the end yourself. It would have taken less time than to type it up here. I corrected two other instances of this. MECUtalk 22:58, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've added some fact tags that need citations.
  • There are quite a few MoS and grammar problems. The article needs a good copyediting.

The article will remain on hold for seven days, at which time I will make a decision about whether or not it should be delisted.

Since all the citation needed tags were taken care of, I fixed the other stuff. I'll keep the article listed as a GA. Nikki311 01:41, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
