Verify a claim[edit]

The article says: "Degrees based on 'Life Experience' are frequently associated with substandard degrees or diploma mills." Google News Archive shows 281 sources for "recognition of prior learning. But none of the 281 also mention "diploma mills", and only 1 also mentions "substandard". However, there are 9,040 sources for "'life experience' degree. Some 34 also mention "substandard", and 211 mention "diploma mills". A ratio of 211 to 9,040 is 2.33%. Does that merit the descriptor "frequently associated"? I don't believe so. But if I'm in the minority, so be it. But, someone should nonetheless take a look at these sources I've pulled, and decide which one or two could serve as reliable sources (WP:RS) and plug them in there. - CRedit 1234 (talk) 15:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
