Box Office Gross

[edit]

Should the box office gross be included in the Infobox at all for this film? Unlike most cases these are not reported figures but speculative numbers based on educated guesses from industry insiders. It might be better and more rigorous to omit these figures from the Infobox and only include them in the article body where they can properly be explained in context as speculative estimates. -- 109.76.133.17 (talk) 20:08, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also the source isn't even specific and says either $1.25 or possibly 1.5 million [1] -- 109.76.133.17 (talk) 20:13, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the unofficial box office gross estimates from the Inbofox.[2] It is entirely inconsistent and illogical to be strict about numbers and exclude the $160 budget figure at which the film was reportedly greenlit but to then also take the two box office gross estimates of $1.25 or possibly 1.5 million and put $1.3 million as the gross in the Infobox. -- 109.76.147.205 (talk) 07:48, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Films like The Irishman include the box office grosses; the film made money from theaters, that’s not up for debate. If it suits you then put the range. TropicAces (talk) 16:18, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WP:DISCUSS Last I checked this was Wikipedia and everything was up for debate and WP:RS reliable sources were still important. It is misleading to present insider estimates as if they were the same as reported facts. It does not help that these estimates were not clearly marked as such and were not clearly referenced. I have already challenged the inclusion of those figures above, and they should at least be clearly supported by an inline reference if they are to be included in the Infobox at all. -- 109.79.168.211 (talk) 10:44, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

excessively detailed and distracting viewership data

[edit]

The amount of words dedicated to what looks to be Netflix's own data is enormous. It's multiple scrolls on a phone to get to critical response, with week to week viewing totals taking paragraphs which don't feel valuable 72.143.201.31 (talk) 00:49, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
