AMENDMENTS[edit]

I have made some amendments and corrections on behalf of family members who have drawn my attention to factual errors.Rupert Gerritsen (talk) 06:36, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Rupert Gerritsen[reply]

Hi, I see that you made two changes, removing cook and adjusting the way the motorcycle accident is described. Someone then removed everything, and user:LauraHale has restored the text back to her last version[1].
I have removed "cook" again, as that detail is only in the APC bio, and it only says occupation without indicating that he is currently employed. It isn't an important detail, and no other source mentions it.
I have reworded the injury, as "spinal damage" sounds like a permanent injury, and honestly the claim that "he [broke his spine] in five different places" is extraordinary and needs extraordinary sources to back it up.
Are there any other aspects of the article that are not correct?

100m butterfly[edit]

The Canberra Times article says "He has posted the fastest time in the world this year in the S14 classification for the men's 100 metres butterfly of 1:10.08s"

However this result isnt recorded in the Swimming WA profile, which is reproduced at the bottom of the article. This makes our article confusing as it contradicts itself.

Also the IPC database doesnt rank him under Men's 100 m Butterfly S14. However it does rank him as third for Men's 100 m Breaststroke SB14, with a time of 1:10.07 on 2012-03-18 at Adelaide,[2] which matches the Swimming WA time.[3] He is listed on the AUS Paralympics 2012 team for 100 m Breaststroke only.[4]

My guess is he did post a world record time for 100m breastroke, however it is worth noting that in July 2012 Yasuhiro Tanaka (swimmer) (JP) and Scott Quin (UK) have beaten his time according to the IPC database. John Vandenberg (chat) 12:13, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
