Speedy deletion
[edit]This article was tagged for speedy deletion within moments of its creation. You'se guys are fast! Anyway, if you look at What links here for this article, notice the large number of 'latent' links people previously created anticipating this article's creation. Rick and his business Strokers Dallas is well-known in the chopper community. If you think more needs to be done to indicate the article's relevance and notability, let me know. n2xjk (talk) 15:39, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source, so these wikilinks don't establish WP:Notability. Fame alone in the biker community, or even world-wide fame, is not enough. This article needs citations that meet the criteria for notability -- specifically the criteria Wikipedia:Notability (people) are what applies. Simple as that.--Dbratland (talk) 00:40, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- The article now has three source references (a radio station, a book, and the Clinton President's Center) so I trust that meets the primary source requirement. n2xjk (talk) 14:24, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- One of them meets the criteria. The others are nice but neither here nor there -- press releases and promotional material from the subject's own show don't carry a lot of weight.--Dbratland (talk) 16:27, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
