The book ABBOTT AND COSTELLO IN HOLLYWOOD mentions a gag that was cut from the picture. Costello is on the radio addressing Nazi spies from all over the world. He tells them to drop an ice cube into the nearest inkwell, which they obediently do.
Costello then asked them what they just made, and they reply "Iced Ink!"
Costello replies--"You sure do!", and hangs up.
