Round Barns in Illinois Thematic ResourcesRound barns in Illinois – The notable topic is "round barns in Illinois", not the title of the NRHP "Multiple Property Submission" or "Thematic Resources" document filed with the National Register of Historic Places which documented them. Some time ago, it seemed like wp:MPS documents were notable topics for Wikipedia articles, but the issue eventually figured out was that we want an article about the fundamental topic, supported by the document, rather than an article about the document. We want to use other supporting sources, too. And if the article were really about the document, then it should be discussing the process of the writing of the document, and the authors, and so on, which this article does not do, and is probably not of encyclopedic interest. doncram 20:03, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds reasonable to me, I would say this type of move is pretty uncontroversial. Go ahead and move it good sir. IvoShandor (talk) 03:42, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Totally reasonable, and clearer.--Cúchullain t/c 17:22, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Modify article to include table[edit]

This article is great and has stood up well since it was created in February 2007 by User:IvoShandor. Eventually a world-wide list-article List of round barns was created and it has a table with pics on Illinois round barns (to directly jump there, click on List of round barns#Illinois. I propose copying a version of that table to this article, and revising this article consistent with this being the central place of coverage of round barns in Illinois. See requested move section above. The world-wide list-article would link to here for detailed coverage of Illinois. It might or might not continue to include a table (which could perhaps be abbreviated) in order to keep the coordinates of the Illinois barns in the linked OSM / Google maps. --doncram 20:18, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
