Pronunciation[edit]

Can someone post the pronunciation of Rowan Oak (specifically 'Rowan')? I'm not 100% sure of the correct pronunciation, but I have always pronounced Rowan like "ro-un" ("row a boat" as opposed to "there was a row [rou] in parliament today"). Some people with the Rowan surname pronounce it the latter way (although they may be the minority). Mauvila (talk) 03:28, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if I'm really an authoritative source, but having lived in Mississippi nearly my entire life, I've always heard it pronounced like "row a boat". Here's a video from Ole Miss pronouncing it like that too.--Dudemanfellabra (talk) 06:29, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
