Filming Locations[edit]

I haven't yet found a citation, so I won't edit it yet, but an episode of season 5 (the 2nd one, I think) was definitely filmed at Skylands Manor in New Jersey's Ringwood State Park. The back patio of the building was used for Boris's back patio in a breakfast scene between Evan and Paige. I know this because I've stayed there annually since 2006. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acroyear (talkcontribs) 22:03, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

Recurring Characters[edit]

Should we add sections about Raj, Charlie or Divya's parents Purplebackpack89 (talk) 14:19, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

They aren't technically recurring characters yet, unless they appear in any more episodes. On the other hand, the Monk page has several recurring characters that only appeared once (such as Jack Monk and Jack Monk, Jr.). I say go for it, but take caution in doing so. Kevinbrogers (talk) 14:30, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Part of the reason I may go for it is that they are alluded to in several episodes they don't appear in Purplebackpack89 (talk) 15:03, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
That's true. I also have a feeling Charlie will return in this Thursday's episode, since Hank learned about his marriage at the end of last week's episode. Kevinbrogers (talk) 20:34, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Adding charlie is definately needed. But Raj probably will not return after all look at the way the showed his character. I think it was just for everyone to see him. Divya's parents at this point would probably be too early. Tj21 (talk) 04:16, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Stupid Crystal ball gets in the way of me saying they'll be back. I'll write Charlie later this week. It'd be funny if somebody added Dieder Purplebackpack89 (talk) 04:23, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I don't like that rule. You might want to check the main page for Royal Pains at usanetwork.com to see if they have anything about Charlie in future synopses. I don't remember who Dieder is though... Kevinbrogers (talk) 14:24, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Dieder is Boris' manservant. He appears in a lot of episodes, but except for the one where he tells Evan off, he doesn't say much. Mostly he just carries Boris' towels and drinks. By the way, characters were consuming this article, so I moved them to Characters in Royal Pains —Preceding unsigned comment added by Purplebackpack89 (talkcontribs) 16:46, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I remember the character now. Sorry I undid the revision, I hadn't noticed the new article yet... I thought you were vandalizing the page or something. Sorry. Kevinbrogers (talk) 16:50, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I think we should probably add Boris since he is not one of the regular cast emmbers but definetly reaccuring. Also, I do think Henrey Winkler's character will be pretty regular sicne he was in that rap promo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.150.52 (talk) 21:08, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Also, Raj is pretty much recurring and I geuss you could say Jill's ex is too

I wish somebody would mention that Jill Casey was Dr. Jill Casey until she dated Hank for a summer and lost her diploma in a freak writing accident. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.0.17.162 (talk) 21:19, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Can't exactly say the list is "out of date" because it's missing a recurring character who first appeared in the pilot: Ms. Newberg (Christine Ebersole), HankMed's first retainer, friend, mother figure, and later Eddie's paramour and the Lawsons' temporary landlady when Boris ousted them from the guesthouse. Should also include Libby and Tucker, Tucker's father (Andrew McCarthy), Paige's parents, Keller, Marissa, Dieter (spell that correctly, please) and Harper. If you want to get down to short term recurring characters who were part of multi-episode arcs, there's Jill's ex-husband and her brother, her nemesis Dr. Blair, Eric Kasabian, Boris' diabetic associate and his female assistant, etc. In short, you need criteria for inclusion, otherwise it turns into an example farm. Or, you could just exclude such a list entirely. The regular cast is much more important. 12.233.146.130 (talk) 02:32, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Keeping Divya's Parents Out of the Loop[edit]

I edited Divya's deatils, it originally said that she had to keep her new occupation hidden from her parents... but she divulged it to her parents in last week's episode, so i added "initially had to keep it hidden". Skiendog (talk) 00:06, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Cast & characters[edit]

The cast & characters section is poorly written! It hurt my brain just to try to read it.

Can someone knowledgeable about this show please rewrite the cast & characters section so it actually makes sense?

Thanks.75.92.219.30 (talk) 20:48, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
