Vira Vallee[edit]

Vira Vallee (Ukrainian: Віра Валлє (Потєхіна); born in Kyiv, October 1, 1981) is a Ukrainian author, researcher, counselor at law and civic activist. Author of non-fiction books and essays. Master in law. Phd in Economics.

The major topic of Vira Vallee's research is freedom, through the prism of which the writer considers various social phenomena. Vira Vallee is author of books devoted to research of various social phenomena, their impact on society and social development in context of law, economics and politics: "Intellectual property" (2008), "Heritage of James I and Queen Anne: Intellectual Property Protection in Time and Space" (2010), "Intellectual Property Law Paradox" (2010), "Corruption: Rethinking Maidan" (2016), "Thirst of Freedom" (2017), "Corruption. Fail of Social Capital" (2018). Her books address preconditions of successful democracy, strong civil society and the rule of law, the importance of social virtues for social growth and value of freedom for individual satisfaction and global prosperity. Particular attention is paid to the problems of Ukraine's development and plan of reforms.
