Smersh members?[edit]

Why are Niktin and Slavin and Vozdvishensky listed as SMERSH members? If I'm remembering the novel correctly, they weren't - they were, as described here, the heads of KGB, GRU and RUMID, which were different intelligence agencies. General G. looked like he was in charge because he was the one delivering the Politburo's message that they were angry at the intelligence apparatus, and because it was his department that would carry out the From Russia With Love operation, but I don't think they ever suggested that he was actually their superior (first among equals at most) or that their departments were part of SMERSH.
