The SS Princess Patricia was Princess Cruises first ship. Stanley MacDonald founded Princess Cruises in 1965 and subsquently chartered the Canadian Pacific ferry, the SS Princess Patricia to do cruises from Los Angeles, California during what would usually be the ferries' winter lay-up. SS Princess Patricia[edit]

She was retired from Alaskan cruising services in 1978, used as a floating hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia for the 1986 World's Fair before being finally scrapped in Taiwan in 1995.

This is not entirely correct. Shortly after 1989 film, Friday the 13th: Jason Takes Manhattan she had a brief stint as a crew ferry for the Woodfibre pulp mill, was docked at Britannia Beach, was the venue for several off the books parties then burned to the waterline still tied to the dock. If any part of it got to Taiwan, it had to have gone on a freighter.

I witnessed all this. I was a resident of Britannia Beach at the time.

I don't know how to get this info posted. Suggestions appreciated. SilvrHairDevil (talk) 03:01, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

References confirm scrapping details. I'll add one to the article Lyndaship (talk) 07:02, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
